Méthode reads every glass through a structured framework — appearance, nose, palate — and turns each impression into a clean, comparable note you can keep and revisit. An independent methodology, not affiliated with or endorsed by any certification body.
AI-verified tasting assessments
Every wine in Maison Apéro is assessed by AI — and independently re-assessed by a second AI. When they disagree, a senior model arbitrates. The more the community scans, the more accurate the database becomes.

First scan — the assessment is born
The first time a wine is scanned anywhere, an advanced AI model composes its full structured assessment from scratch — appearance, nose, palate, quality, drinking window. That craftsmanship takes a moment.

Second scan — the cross-check
The second scan is assessed fresh as well — this time by a different AI model. Behind the scenes the two assessments are compared field by field, and if they disagree on anything significant, a senior model arbitrates before the entry is locked in.

Every scan after — instant
From then on, everyone gets the verified assessment instantly, straight from the shared database — no wait, no re-generation.

A wine database that grows with AI
Maison Apéro is developing a wine database where users can gradually build a record of wines, knowledge, and preferences through conversations with AI. After organizing the information that can be made public, we plan to release part of the database for free users to browse as well.
How your data is protected
Maison Apéro protects your data with layered, industry-standard safeguards.
- In transit: all communication with our servers is encrypted with TLS.
- At rest: data stored on our servers is encrypted with AES-256 (Google-managed keys).
- Access control: strict server-side security rules limit who can reach your data, and App Check helps ensure requests come from the genuine app.
- Less data, less risk: with disappearing messages (IGF), message data is permanently deleted after its retention period.
This is not end-to-end encryption. We (and our cloud provider, Google) are technically able to access your content, so please don't use Maison Apéro for anything you need to keep secret from the operator. For private, end-to-end-encrypted messaging, see our separate app Arc.

Réserve
Réserve keeps messages up to 52 weeks or permanently, adds permanent groups and voice features, and unlocks every badge — for $5/month. During our launch period — through the end of August 2026 — all Réserve features are free for everyone.
