The background that matters
Corvina Veronese is the prime name of the variety, with Corvina and Cruina among its synonyms. The Valpolicella DOC rules call for 45–95% Corvina Veronese, part of which may be replaced by Corvinone, plus 5–30% Rondinella.
Read it alongside this wine
Bertani Valpolicella 2024 is listed with Corvina Veronese and Rondinella, the two varieties that are mandatory in Valpolicella. Its appearance note is open to every reader, so it is a good place to start. Zonin Amarone della Valpolicella 2022 on this site lists the same grape under the name Corvina.
Try it with the review
Compare the colour described for the Bertani with the deep ruby recorded for the Zonin Amarone. Before linking any difference to the grape, note that wine type, producer and vintage also differ.
