Grapes

Molinara

Molinara is the third grape listed for the Zonin Amarone on this site; the current rules allow it without requiring it.

The background that matters

Molinara is a complementary native variety that brings freshness and flavour, at up to 10% of the blend. Only Corvina and Rondinella are mandatory; other permitted red varieties, Molinara among them, may be added within set limits.

Read it alongside this wine

Zonin Amarone della Valpolicella 2022 lists Molinara after Corvina and Rondinella, without percentages. Its review therefore describes the whole blend; the structured profile records medium acidity beside high alcohol and full body.

Try it with the review

Find the acidity entry and ask what a share of 10% or less could plausibly add next to high alcohol and full body. Write your answer as a question to test on other wines, not as a conclusion.
