The background that matters
Bodegas del Medievo was founded by four farming families and two winemakers. It is based in Aldeanueva de Ebro, in Rioja Oriental.
Read it alongside this wine
The site lists Cofrade Rioja 2023 as Tempranillo. The producer makes more than one Cofrade red: Cofrade Tinto, mainly Tempranillo and aged four months in American and French oak, and a separate red made by carbonic maceration, with whole bunches fermented in tank. The name shown on the site does not tell you which of these this bottle is.
Try it with the review
Check the back label for the exact Cofrade wine first. Then note which observations — in the review or in your own tasting — the production method could help explain, and which it cannot.
Learning prompts are not guaranteed tasting results; distinguish producer facts from your observations.
