Meeting in Épernay on 1 October 2026, the Comité Champagne (CIVC) established the definitive marketable yield for the 2026 harvest and defined guidelines for the allocation of individual reserves (Réserve individuelle).
The marketable yield was set at 10,000 kg/ha to match stable global demand. Given the historically early harvest and the high natural acidity and pristine aromatic profile of this year's Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, winegrowers and houses agreed to bolster the collective reserve mechanism to buffer against future climatic volatility.
Both vignerons and houses welcomed the decision as essential for safeguarding Champagne's non-vintage consistency and blending excellence.
