The background that matters
Broccardo is a family winery in Monforte d’Alba run by the siblings Filippo, Laura and Federica. Their parents sold grapes from the 1970s, and full production began when the siblings joined in 2009. Its 13 hectares of vineyards lie in Monforte d’Alba, Barolo and Novello.
Read it alongside this wine
I Tre Pais is made from Nebbiolo from Monforte d’Alba, Barolo and Novello at about 350 metres, facing south and south-west, on sandy, clay and silty soils. It has a maceration of about 20 days and around 24 months in French and Slavonian oak casks of different sizes. These details describe the wine in general, not the 2019 vintage.
Try it with the review
Read the review’s acidity, tannin and body, and mark which points the producer’s notes (grape, sites, ageing) could help explain and which they cannot. Avoid tying any observation to a single commune, since the wine combines all three.
Learning prompts are not guaranteed tasting results; distinguish producer facts from your observations.
